You can use the Xenomorph as much as you want. You can even have Colonial Marines fighting them somewhere.

But don't you dare try to tell the story of the Nostromo or LV-426 again.

Amadeus. F. Murray Abraham is the one and only Salieri, and Tom Hulce is the one and only Mozart.

Gremlins and/or Gremlins 2: The New Batch. You know they’re gonna be boring CGI if that happens.

Clue: The Movie. You can’t improve on an already perfect ensemble cast. The humor and charm would be lost.

John Carpenter’s films. Just… no. Please leave those alone, Hollywood.

Disney doesn't need to reboot it, they'll just replace all the voice actors with AI.

It's not about Jet Li specifically. That film is just a perfect, museum-grade summation of a turn of the milennium sub-culture.

There have been a few already, with more on the way.

- Assault on Precinct 13 (2005) was apparently not awful, but I haven’t made time for it yet.
- The Fog (2005) was awful.
- The Thing (2011) was a weird attempt to remake THE THING as its own prequel, and was meddled with until it became the flawed, fitfully interesting movie we got.
- Halloween (2007), maybe? Didn’t see, idk

Other than that there have been announcements of Starman(?), Big Trouble in Little China, They Live, and Escape from New York remakes. Whatever kicks a little money to Carpenter while he tokes up, plays video games, and watches basketball, I guess.
