I should probably finish Bayonetta 2 first, does it count as a Halloween game though....

Also I only have the WiiU version and eh.

I am persevering with Silent Hill Downpour and while I'm not going to pretend its actually good it does have.... moments... when I don't hate it.

And then it makes me fight something and I go ah yeah.

If you have something to run Gamepass stuff on you can play it for whatever a month of that would cost

Wonder if that's just a US thing, I did 3 months for £1 earlier this year, let I run out then tried to re-sub using the £1 a month offer and it wanted to charge me the full monthly rate.

It didn’t work the first time I tried resubbing. I did the three month pc game pass trial, and when that was up it wanted me pay the full amount to renew. A while later I realized there was a separate trial for gp ultimate, and after that was up it let me renew pc gamepass for a dollar, two months in a row now.

I don’t know if doing the ultimate trial mattered, or if it’s just random.

Ah yeah I was trying to renew Ultimate again, PC only Gamepass is useless to me and the console only one doesn't have a trial so I just renewed that for £8 lol

I'm playing the Project Zero Maiden of Black Water for like the third time, wishing the others were available on modern systems too. Shame the port of 4 isn't coming out til next year. I started a bunch of other horror games I had lying around and quickly realised why I never bothered finishing them.

Looking forward to Scorn this week.

Take my advice, if you play Siren use a guide, it's a frustrating and impenetrable game that's made slightly less so if you at least know what you're supposed to be doing.

2 at least is fine without though.

The 80 endings thing is a misnomer, it's one ending with some slight variations depending on who you have in your party and what their affection levels are.

The PS1 equivalent of the Chrono Trigger box saying it has 60 hours of gameplay (if you NG+ 10 times to see all the endings).

Not a movie but the SNES Time Trax game was the best game based on a forgotten cancelled after one season 90's tv show.

I think the worst movie tie-ins were PS1 stuff, perfect storm of no one giving a poo poo, not being sure how this new 3D stuff worked and CDs making game distribution cheap enough any price of crap movie could get a tie in.

Factor 5 also did a game based on all three Indiana Jones movies that.. Well it was about on par with their later SNES Star Wars games for whatever that's worth.

initial scorn impression: it's very solid for what it is, which is a walking sim with occasional puzzles and some light gunplay. the real star of the show is, of course, the environment, which is an incredible fusion of geiger's biomechanical style and beksinski's monolithic nightmare landscapes, and this is all heightened by them relying entirely on environmental storytelling without a single bit of dialogue or text logs to guide you along. this does occasionally lead to some "what the gently caress am i supposed to do" moments, but it's linear enough of an experience that you're not expected to dramatically backtrack or rely on distant elements to solve the self-contained puzzles

if you want a spooky halloween title, definitely pick this one up

It's pretty much the perfect Gamepass game, a ~5 hour 'experience' that I would probably have balked at paying money to own but will happy play for the monthly sub.
