Higuchi should win this one, but carrying both the single and tag titles must be wearing on the man, and he can't sleep on the challenger. Pheromones are up to their old tricks again. Sigh. In the opener they are having a final battle against President Takagi's handpicked team. If Dieno and Iino win the 5 on 2 handicap match, then Iino will be DDT president for the day. If they lose, the team is dissolved. I know who i'm cheering for. Note that Dramatic DDT has this match listed as a dark match, so if you arrive at bell time you should be able to avoid it. The newest Pheromones member "Shining Ball" Takeda has somehow managed to finagle a Universal title shot against Yuki Ueno. Ueno stated in the press conference his continued desire to defend the belt overseas, and he made his AEW debut recently at the Fight Forever event, so maybe that'll go somewhere. Elsewhere on the card we have a couple of returnees and a debut. Assemblyman Kawamatsu is back teaming with fellow politician Nishimura against Burning, while Hikaru Machida makes his first appearance since I think the King of Street Wrestling competition, where Chris Brookes submitted him in a tree. Finally we have the first of that new group of trainees to make their debut, as Kazuma Sumi takes on the always tricky Kazuki Hirata. I haven't watched DDT since that little Andrew Everett run, and I don't think I've watched a full show since Wrestle Peter Pan, but this seems like it's gonna be a fun one so I will give it a go! ...starting in 20 minutes, of course.

tokyyyyyyyyoooooooooo it's not in the twitter thread but if i understood right from that joey promo, they're actually running two ddt shows as part of the gcw collective - a ddt show, and a ddt vs gcw show wonder if they end up doing a separate tjpw show like they had planned for 2020, or if they just bring some tjpw wrestlers over for the ddt show like in 2019? maki itoh probably their biggest draw in america (closely followed by takeshita)
