I've played more of this game in the past 2 days than the previous 2 months, and I'm really enjoying it. I'm into Day 2 now. Got Kim to half laugh, and then trust me. It's a bit up its own rear end at times, but so is every other narrative focused game. If you like those kinds of games you should probably play this one. So to answer the OP: yes it's worth 10 dollars.

The writing is really good imo and not just for a game. I think every game must have a mandatory “I’m Captain McFuckass now let’s get epic in the membrane” quotient for tax purposes

I was also very pleasantly surprised by SKIBBADEE SKIBBADANGER.

It’s such a dope feeling, I love how skillchecks work. I’m sure the writing is doing a lot of the work but playing older crpgs made me pine for the simplicity of DE

One thing I'll say is, I have no loving clue what to put points into. I've basically ignored the skills themselves and unlocked 8 or 9 Thoughts and done those instead. But now I'm left wondering wtf to build towards & I have no idea
