On the topic of twitter alternatives: does anyone have any experience with Hive Social? Apparently I can't just run it in browser on my PC (I still post on a computer like a boomer) and need to download the app for either iphone or Android. I've been messing with an Android emulator and it hasn't been working so far. Maybe it's really good, but it hasn't made a good first impression.

already have discord and already ruled mastodon out, Hive Social seems like the sort of thing I am looking for in theory, but I'll be damned if I'm going to put this much work into posting on it
