I don't find it too hard to believe that Russ is playing injured, especially after he rushed back from hand surgery last year. It's on the coaching staff to sit his rear end if he can't perform at a higher level than the next man up.

if i'm remembering seasons correctly, russ was putting up MVP numbers the first half of each of the past two seasons and nathan peterman-esque numbers in the second half. i suppose he could've been injured at around the same time, it's just awfully suspicious
