The most magical time of the year!

I've done NaNoWriMo for the past four years, plus a few previous times ~~about~~ over a decade ago. I'll be writing a fantasy sequel this year and aiming to keep going past 50k if possible - in previous years I've tended to run out of steam if I hit the target early. I've been struggling with writing regularly recently so I'm going to try and use this to rebuild writing as a habit, particularly during the week before work.

I just wish I hadn't waited until October 30th to actually sit down and plan what I'm going to write. I have a lot of respect for people who can just sit down and write into the darkness but I am very much not one of them.

I had a good start today and - most importantly - proved to myself that I can fit a decent chunk of writing in before work in the mornings.
