I've spent the last couple of days checking out Mastodon and I'm surprised by how quickly things came together. The second server I tried has worked out well and a fair number of the artists, scientists, etc. I followed on Twitter are already over there. I have no idea how things are going to play out with either platform but it's encouraging for an isolated person such as myself to feel like there's still a chance to stay connected with these folks.

The reversals were in light of the second poll (unban now vs 7 days), which he lost on a 60-40 split. He bitched passive-aggressively the whole time, and posted "doxx populi, doxx dei" before deleting it when he got called out on stealing the joke that a bunch of other people had made.

Feels a bit like a running theme in his life that he'd rather delete a post than give someone else credit for anything.

The damage was done when the journalists were banned in the first place. Can't wait to see if anything comes from the other stupid things he did during his latest tantrum.

Guess I'll go see if I can link to Mastodon yet.

I got started with Mastodon after he bought Twitter and I don't regret it. I used the Fedifinder tool to help me find people I follow on Mastodon and also just to export my whole following list.
