What a galling way to make twitter dumber and worse in every possible way. Tate is a sex trafficker, being his surrogate should end your account. Especially if you just got your account back after an incredibly valuable, approvable vacation.

This sort of thing (allowing financial transactions, openly, from the literal Ansar Allah in this case) not only causes a company like twitter massive financial headaches and creditor issues, but can be an immense problem for charities and nonprofits who end up with any kind of integral or incidental attachment to these transactions. Significant issues are really unlikely from this individual event, but if twitter's internal review competency degrades further and illegitimate transactions get worse or more high profile in the sort of weird unpredictable ways you can only guess at because the owner is an impulsive, emotionally unstable drug addict, you might start reading stories about 501c3 orgs deciding to part ways with X as a cya thing.

I can't wait for this standard to grow and people start saying something like "we don't live in Israel and speak fluent Hebrew/Yiddish so i can't properly evaluate primary sources and have as much "right to complain" about what that government is doing" Sure to solve so many discussions where foreigners are apparently ignorantly and arrogantly extending their criticism of places they don't live
