just a heads up: vxtwitter doesn't embed on SA (maybe you copypasted something off of discord, which is where it does embed), while normal twitter still embeds on SA

a few days ago I went "waitaminute, a decent chunk of the people on twitter that I keep up with I also keep up with on tumblr/cohost" and so uninstalled the app and only really check things out on my nsfw alt. To my horror tho when I checked out my feed on said alt, I discovered that my "following" feed is now no longer chronological.

from the sounds of it Muting is gonna stick around but that's still not ideal (people with huge blocklists would have to recreate mute lists from the ground up, people you muted can still follow you and see your page, etc)

There's also a bit more of a recent thing where Tumblr announced partnering up with Midjourney, and users had to opt out of having their posts being used instead of it being an opt in thing. These factors are also adjacent to the cohost stuff because it caused a lot of people to migrate to cohost (which is honestly more of a tumblr alternative than a twitter alternative)

and the most important detail here is the straw that broke the camel's back for predstrogen was that her perfectly sfw before/after transition timeline selfies where flagged as nsfw (which has happened to a lot of tumblr users in the past few years). Also early in the drama a lot of accounts speaking out against what was happening with her were straight up getting DMs from Matt trying to explain himself and some of them were also getting nuked
