I met him a few times. He was a cool guy, but haunted. He just always seemed troubled. I'm sad he died. I always hoped he'd pull it together.

He was like the barely pubescent girl's alternative to Nick Carter and the BSB (kinda like Justin Bieber was at the start of his career I guess). Aaron had his song on Nick and was one of their house stars. Probably did walk ons for shows and played music/had songs on shows or soundtracks.

He was just on no jumper 3 days ago, which I haven’t watched yet but the guy interviewing him, adam22 said that he seemed like he wasn’t doing too well https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B83uJMHUitw I think he’s interviewed him 2, maybe 3 other times before this and they’re all very uh, interesting. It seems like the interviews he did for no jumper were the only actual like relevant media appearances he’d had since like the 90s/early 2000s, or the reality tv show their family did.

Toxic Mental posted:lol he IS the kind of scumbag who would buy one of those service dog vests and imagine that people are stalking him Yeah I just watched a bit and he’s trying to hide his hosed up eyes with the hat. Also lol he says that his dog is trained to attack when he says that Russian word and then just says it and the dog doesn’t move. So many insane parts of this interview, I skipped ahead a bit and he’s talking about Kanye west and says he’s being stupid, and then goes on say that he grew up around black people and they played in his band and taught him how to play piano, presumably, thinking that it will qualify whatever he was about to say about BLM, and institutional violence, etc. and Adam says ‘so you’re getting invited to the cookout’ and he just says ‘what cookout’, and then Adam even explains, ‘like, you know, the proverbial cookout’ and he still does not get it at all. Jesus Christ.

man i hated his music and image growing up but i hate this because it's obvious it's more than that like you don't have to love that stupid poo poo to realize this guy was probably dealing with some really hosed people, and a really hosed up situation, and he died having to deal with that fallout. I hope he's in peace because: says a lot more than any joke you can make, you'll never be as funny as that implicate is hosed up

I hope he's in peace because: Sorry to go all Real World here but yeah having dealt with emotional trauma for the last 2 years has taught a lot of empathy and whatever this guy was going through, pretty sure he was really hurting. It's hard to imagine until you go through it but emotional trauma can manifest as physical hurt. I left that poo poo behind 30 years ago only to find out it's still there. It's not just any pain. For me it's been like if you imagine how the fight or flight mechanism feels. You're pumped up with adrenaline for a short while and it doesn't feel good in the least most of the time but it's supposed to last minutes so you get out of whatever rear end in a top hat situation it is you're in. But sometimes it doesn't and you're in constant pain, reliving a bad situation. It hurts and it's exhausting, and that's one of the reasons why PTSD is often characterized by substance abuse. You're treating a wound others don't even see. I can't even fathom what it's like when the ones causing the damage are running an entire business your livelihood is dependent on. hosed up.

I remember thinking, at the time, that this Aaron Carter music poo poo was just the most transparent, cynical cash grab poo poo from execs pushing bubblegum pop. How hosed up are people.PITY BONER posted:A few members of the BSB (or maybe it was NSYNC?) did some long-form interviews, not sure if in a podcast or not, that told a lot of the "behind the scenes" type stories of being forced to give up their personal freedom for the duration of their careers. Some of them were just like "Yeah dude was always like showing up to dance rehearsals like 'Eyyy boys looking good! Good stuff! Hey take off the shirts let's see those AAAABBBBBSSSS'", others were just insanely hurt that he started NSYNC behind their backs after being a father figure, some mentioned it was hosed up he let them drink and watch porn. Nick Carter, obviously, had a lot of anger going on about what it did to him and his brother. FilthyImp fucked around with this message at 14:08 on Nov 6, 2022 |

'Nick Carter is too old for you but here's he goofy brother!' Knowing what he went through, like, man. How hosed up are people. Aaron Carter has a mid 2000's movie called "Popstar" and a lot of weird stuff shows up that unintentionally hints to this. The movie came out when Aaron Carter was ~15 and includes: -A love interest plqyed by an actress in her early 20's. -Lots of older women, including radio hosts, openly talking about how hot a 15 year old Aaron is -Elementary Schoolers talking about how dreamy he is. -A conflict centered around Aaron entering public school, complete with "funny" interactions with stalkers that keep stealing his poo poo. -Aarons manager is a creep in his late 40's, there is a minor subplot about the manager dating a series of young women throughout the movie. -Said manager has a long talk with Aaron about how the music production system is a horrific, uncaring monster that consumes people, squeezes them and tosses them aside like garbage. This isn't a criticism of the system, just an explanation for why Aaron must pass all his tests and stay out of summer school. -Aaron overcomes his fear of talking tests (testaphobia) by taking his test on stage and imagining its a stage performance. -A math professor that walks around his classroom during a test with a mirror on a stick to look up students skirts. He's supposedly looking for cheaters, but we see the professor ignore a cheating student so it's hard to interpret this any other way. -It's a Disney Channel original, so the dialog is so inauthentic it feels like it takes place on another planet. I'm only scratching the surface here. Its a amazingly bad movie, but current events make it really dark. I'd only recommend it as an A.P. Bad movie in the same category as "Honerable Men", where the director is so incompetent that he portrays himself as a racist pedophile cop. It's on Vudu now, maybe Disney+ will claim ownership, but I doubt it. Bifner McDoogle fucked around with this message at 15:31 on Nov 6, 2022 |

God drat it, I had to go to CNN to see if the thread name was accurate, because Jimmy Carter, generally considered among the best of politicians and men, dying just before the 2022 U.S midterms would have been a HORRENDOUS omen.

I'll leave out the man's name and the nature of the alleged acts unless a mod tells me it's okay to post them, but the goon's claim sounded credible to me so at the very least I don't think they were intentionally lying about it.
