I installed a new toilet and I was the first in the house to take a poop in it. Really a good feeling that most people won't get to experience. Might write a book on it ngl.

I spent four years in the military, learned valuable real world skills, and got the gently caress out. My children were planned for and conceived after marriage. My wife was able to be a stay at home mom until the younger one was in Kindergarten. I've been working for the same company for 21 years, and generally like my job. I was raised in the church, my dad is a former preacher; and and I made it out a level headed atheist. I still have a solid relationship with my parents.

I'm a couple years away now from a really abusive relationship that gave me PTSD, that I finally got treatment for. I can think about it and actually talk to people about it without getting emotional now. And while I lost a lot in the process, I finally feel like my old self again. It's a shame. They're genuinely a good person and I do miss them. Just wasn't good to each other.

I'm really good at making fried eggs. I make some money as a freelance writer. The composting bin I hastily slapped together a few months is working pretty well - it's full of worms! I can usually whip up a healthy and tasty dinner each night without weekly menu planning.

i've been getting a lot of stuff done lately! it's mainly cleaning the place up, throwing away poo poo that my hoarder ex left here, but it feels good to finally get around to it i've also been replacing a lot of stuff that was just getting really ratty. i got new pots and pans the other day, i'm gonna cook some stuff with 'em later

I still own and drive my high school car and have owned it for 25 years (bought it in October of 1997). I quit a dead-end job that passed me over for a promotion. I’ve never felt more happy and free.
