Not bad but you can really see the difference between Canada and more experienced international teams - Canada just lacks the cutting edge that other teams do. Not even sure it's a question of player quality, not sure what it is. 4-1 I feel was a bit unflattering

Yeah a lot of panicky play in both boxes by Canada and there is a definite lack of quality in the defence imo. Still happy they haven't been run off the pitch in either game so far

Tempered expectations. It was always a huge long shot to get out of the group. What sucks is from a GD perspective they're worse than 1986, even though they played so much better than 1986. Hopefully we can see some positive elements on Thursday. We got 4 years to develop new midfield depth and defenders worth a drat. yeah, the irony is that I'd 100% rather take Canada right now than a bad team for losers like the United States or Mexico they've got great quality counter-attacking play, but you need to be able to convert that to goals against top teams whose defenders won't stop running when they reach the halfway line, otherwise it's just a whole bunch of running the ball forward then having no idea what to do with it and trying to play a pass to feet in front of the defender
