Welcome to the thread where we can discuss the Saudi national football team, also known as The Green Men, Green Falcons, or Arabian Falcons! Powerhouses of Asian football, Saudi Arabia have won the AFC Asian Cup three times after reaching the finals a joint-most six times, among other honors. Just look at this trophy case:

Impressive stuff!

Saudi has qualified for six previous World Cups, in 1994, 1998, 2002, 2006, and 2018, with their best finish in their inaugural appearance at the '94 US World Cup, where they reached the round of 16 only to fall to mighty Sweden 1-3.

The Coach
The Green Falcons are coached by Hervé Renard, who I'm sure was a legend in his playing days.

All of Saudi's players play in their home league, so perhaps that will help them out a bit.

The Group

There is an outside chance, if Mexico and Poland perform hilariously, that Saudi could get through, but they probably won't. Oh well.
