Pretty sure neither of these are obscure but two CDs that get a lot of play around my family is James Brown's Funky Christmas, and the Chieftain's Bells of Dublin. Huh, come to think of it, Christmas music is the one thing I still use CDs for.

we had Christmas with the King's Singers on vinyl - https://www.discogs.com/release/2407231-The-Kings-Singers-Christmas-With-The-Kings-Singers which we never listened to because both my parents hated it. i don't know how we came by the record. probably a christmas present from grandma or something someone has apparently recreated it on youtube https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLbF477abZZDfy118-LcqlCHSRwikR48FB but i can't vouch for it being the same recordings as the vinyl we had. but it is the same general poo poo. a weird combination of loving insufferable and very technically impressive
