Baker and the 49ers/rams talk. Didn't Baker play in a similar system his last two seasons in Cleveland? Or am I way off and stefanski was never part of that McVay / shanahan hodge podge coaching tree?

Stafford's likely done, you have no first round pick, and he's almost certainly cheaper now than whoever will be available in FA. Worst case/likely it backfires and makes next year a tank year and you can actually capitalize on that a bit in '24's draft

So grabbing him just gives McVay a couple weeks of no pressure practice and games to see if there's any point to bringing him back even as a stopgap Stafford replacement/backup that will likely play if Stafford tries coming back and dies again. If he sucks, he walks they're in exactly the same place they are now so who cares.

Was looking ahead to next week and Dallas is favored by 17 over Houston  They lost to the Raiders by 18 already this year so I guess that’s in play. Though you’d think if they are killing the Texans that bad they just pull all the starters like Miami.

Sometimes you have to wait for the swelling to go down before you can get a good image (x-ray, MRI, whatever). If you have a bunch of swollen material around the actual injury, it's going to be hard/impossible to see.
