In other news I can't get enough of these remakes! Fuller House, Saved By The Bell, Roseanne, Girl Meets World, Will and Grace, Beavis and Butthead, Animaniacs, it's all gold!!

Also zoomers shouldn't watch Riverdale or Chilling Adventuresof Sabrina, they're REALLY for 90s kids who grew up ACTUALLY reading Archie Comics when they sucked Thank You Very Much

I don't give a single diddly god drat gently caress about any of the remake properties that have been made in the last decade from tired old 80s properties that were only good if you were a TV exec with a nose full of cocaine.

I'm a Xennial, I went to raves in the Arizona desert in 1998 and wore a Pikachu backpack and my friend sewed me home made JNCOs from happy face fabric we got at Walmart.

This happened while I was also serving in the Army lmao.

I don't suppose it matters -- generational theory is a load of poo poo. Being born in '82, I share no cultural touchstones with someone born in '96.

sure, like the greatest generation or the silent generation which were both presumably just born that way. or gen x, born during x. idk man, i dont make this poo poo up, its all just for advertising anyway

It's true and I'm tired of pretending it isn't
They're the only generation that took both cursive and typing in grade school.

Still can't wrestle any office jobs away from boomers.

I had a CD wallet until 2008, when I finally got a Sansa Clip for my birthday. There was a period of time where I'd carry around two gigantic CD wallets, plus CD player, plus foldable headphones, plus batteries, on trips.

And yes, sadly our holy war against Applebee's has not resulted in their demise....yet. But we're also busy killing (checks notes) napkins and cereal?

Feel like a ton of the Gen Z in the workplace articles I've read are just find & replaces of older articles about us. It's the exact same loving poo poo.

Also back in the day it was lowkey coveted to have a cassette deck in your car because you could hook up the aux adapter and play your iPod off of it. I needed to use the stupid fm transmitter thing that always cut out and it sucked rear end

What's funny is that I remember when paper bags were phased out in favor of plastic bags because we were worried about deforestation. Late 80's I think.

I remember playing a game at summer camp that had a long plastic tube around two feet in length. Two people would stand 15 feet apart and you'd underhand lob it at the other person. If you hit a limb that person would 'lose' it. A few torso shots were game over. I could've sworn it started with a "Z".

Does anyone remember this???????

I used to drive around with a battery powered portable walkman cd player resting in the passenger seat, plugged into the cars stereo system via a cassette tape adapter bc the car had that but no cd player., And a zip-up binder style caselogic CD wallet

It seems like we've been the favorite target for capital/Boomers for a long time, but I know part of that is based on the fact that they think anyone 40 and under is a Millennial.

Gen X had almost all the same criticism lobbed at it too. Lazy, spoiled, disrespectful of institutions, had no future, etc.

Now you get 50 year old Gen Xers talking about being latchkey kids as if they were the first and only generation who learned to cook instant mac on the stove when they were eight.

First they came for the Applebee's, and I didn't speak out because I eat at Golden Corral.
Then they came for napkins, and I didn't speak out because I use a bib.
Then they came for straws, and I didn't speak out because they're for pussies.
Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak for me but Fox News.

True story, the very concept of a generation was designed as a marketing concept. Kind of hosed when you think about it.
