i got all the platinum medals on blast corps when I was like 15 and then another game hosed up and deleted everything on the memory card or whatever those things were. i was peeved

Yeah those third party memory paks were very uneven, could potentially ruin the slot where you put those accessories in so the Rumble Pak would hang loose and not react I don't think I ever saw a Nintendo OEM one though

I got all the platinum medals on Blast Corps in 2020. When I was a kid I couldn't get a single one of them. Amazing game. GoldenEye is my favorite game of all time, and I still love playing it.

My friend and I initially purchased the game for the single player story but we got absolutely hooked on the multiplayer. It was the best. Rare please bring Rare Replay to Steam and give me online Conker.

The requirements for realistic destruction of buildings and such got too high and it was more important that the games look realistic and pretty. In conclusion Teardown and Silent Storm are the best RARE games.

It really is Battletoads if you're willing to put in the time. The levels have a lot of variation and beating the game takes a killer combination of memorization and improv that is really fun to execute. Also you get to  when people say it's hard.If you're a little weenie it's probably DKC2, but only if you try to speedrun it. I rented Blast Corps, played it for 30 seconds and went "I don't get it", so I therefore decree that it sucks.

I was OBSESSED in middle school with finding out the secret of Stop n Swop. Kinda funny to find out years later that it was just “Nintendo changed some hardware specs so we couldn’t do it” after all the mystery

This was a great way to erase your records on SNES You can do this with certain PS1 games like Vigilante 8 and V8: Second Offense- swapping in the first game while playing the second will load the levels for you to play in the second game.

gently caress that lovely dump truck that you're supposed to drift into buildings. I think there was even an interview with a developer who said they made it control like poo poo on purpose because they thought the game was too easy. I bet the train tracks level is where 99% of people gave up on the game.

DKC is so good. It's really easy to run an emulator through the new Google Chrome and pair an 8bitdo SNES controller to it. Been playing DKC series on my big screen. The best Rare games.
