Listen, I've been around a bit, you know, and I thought I'd seen some creepy things go on in the movie business, but I really have to say this is the most disgusting thing that's ever happened to me.
I may have to bow out of this one. All I've recorded lately is discordant noise and I am frantically trying to get my maple taps in and also get another 100k vertical stacked skiing

once we get into may I'll have hella more free time and maybe a jam buddy

I on the other hand am almost done. Like I FEEL like I'm done, but I need to sit on it a couple days to see if anything starts to bug me that I need to tweak.

I've got all the Holmes samples I want to use but don't have any kind of noise or beats to string them together and not sure I'll get to it in time due to other stuff. So will either fail out or will throw something hokey together last minute. :v:

Well there's three weeks left, so sit down and jam out a groove and if you like it then edit it a bit.

I went full ham, I figured if I was going to make a soundtrack it needed a video too. I had fun.

it's good. I liked the first snippet more, but slowing it down really did make it more skulking through the fog.

it's also good that you didn't wait until the last minute or bow out like a coward. in view of these personal merits I nominate xzzy as the thread mc for spring

I have been silent up until now, because I feel like I have a history of volunteering for projects and never delivering due to my ADHD running roughshod over me, but I've been very silently working on something the past few weeks, and I actually finished recording it somehow :stare:

ye gods I actually have to mix stuff now; god help me :ohdear:

you'll be fine. just use more than one reference (ie. monitors and headphones, monitors and car stereo). if you want things to sound how they'll sound to the end user, mix to laptop or cellphone speakers or lovely earbuds

max bruch, violin concerto #1 op. 26.

played back in this tuning

https://en.xen.wiki/w/Genus3375plusmarvwoo

I didn't make any effort to transpose things or get them to fit the tuning. I chopped it up a bunch and routed it to surge presets, mostly just messed around with the delay on the presets.

samples are all from the first season of the jeremy brett sherlock holmes series. it's interesting that in 2 of the 3 episodes sampled, wage fuckery, either too high or too low, was the tell for the crime

e: fixed the envelope on the last samples, duh

chatbot, is it true that robots can make music?

chatbot: always has been.

excellent work chiller, you have exemplified the principle of the extended mind. whatever you lack, or are too lazy to do, divest the work to the natural world and machinery. let your brain ooze out your ears and flow through the world outisde your body like mycelium, consuming that world and becoming that world
