Lots of sports have appeal systems like that, because delays cost money.

They should probably show the scoring matrix on screen for a few seconds at some point though, it's actually very specific now and almost no one complaining online understands it.

Yeah, being able to quickly turn and still have your wedge in ground contact makes it a lot different to picking off the usual big verts. At least in theory, we'll see how well it works in the long term.
