I have a LiveJournal entry from Feb 2005 that casually mentions checking the forums every day after checking my email, but no details other than that -- no notes about how long I'd been lurking, or what forums I preferred, or what threads I was reading...

edit: the only forums-related note I can find is about SA Idol, which started three months after I regged so it's probably not a factor
