I know most people here are massively anti-Republican, but that is the one thing about Republicans... they don't do massive spending like this, or vote for bills that spend too much, etc.

So, you can vote Republican in 2024. No way in hell Trump will be nominated. So he'll run independently. MAGA dumbasses who would vote Republican will vote for Trump, which will take votes away from the Republican candidate.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03_6RV2wxlU

The above is the main reason I will be voting republican in 2024. Biden will likely run again, and I can't vote for an administration that approved what you see in the graph above, despite being warned be a multitude of economists. I can't deal with the inflation, as well as the Federal Reserve responding to it by constantly raising interest rates, driving down the value of stocks in people's 401K and other portfolios. If that makes me a piece of poo poo, then so be it.

I see we found one of those 'Moderates' Musk was talking about.

Government can spend however it likes, but the fact that you would gladly say "This caused me to vote for a party directly leading to fascism that actively calls for oppression and violence against its opponents" says more about you than it does about the Democrats.

Sorry dude. You don't vote for literal Nazis because of spending. Not even figurative nazis. Literal Nazis. Find a better talking point. The Dems suck, but given all we know, all we've seen about what the GOP does and says, you have to be either blatantly ignorant or actually evil to say something this dumb.
Oh and as a bonus: This inflation would've happened, GOP or Dem in the hot seat. Because this is largely something that has been brewing for years. Trump didn't help and likely sped up the rate at which inflation was coming. Don't fall for some stupid schtick about "Inflation was caused by government spending rah rah" bullshit.

Sure. It won't be Trump. It'll be DeSantis. Or someone purposefully worse next time. Oh, and its absolutely bullshit that the GOP doesn't spend. They do. Except they pull it from things like Social Security and Social programs. They gut important social systems to find that money. Then they spend on the Government line of credit. They create a massive government debt, and then knowing they'll lose blame the Dem that takes the seat and scream about government spending. You fell for it. A line sold by people who tried to overthrow the government.

The current inflation has little to do with whoever is president and much more to do the fed pumping asset markets continuously since 2008. Because they think government spending is some sort of Household budget poo poo rather than someone that can print and issue their own currency.

And then they buy up talking points from Austerity pushing morons who likely caused the inflation in the first place, and in this case from a party that literally tried to overthrow the government.

They want to believe in this because they actually just hate poor people and want them to suffer but realize it's unacceptable to say that so instead, they readily buy into a false narrative that doing anything to help poor people is in fact just hurting everyone.

This is also why they just plain ignore the history of economic benefits of SNAP or such, there's a mountain of evidence out there that counters their world view but then it would mean they're a bad person for bad reasons and so instead they just close their eyes, plug their ears, and go lalalalalalalala.
