https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0I6wEL4g7ks Bob Burnquist gold medal winning vert run from 2001 X Games. My novice eye catches 3 crazy tricks that doing any single one in a run is great. All three in a run has got to be an 11 on the difficulty scale. Found this in the comments: 0:40 Frontside Nosebone 0:42 Kickflip Indy 0:45 Mute 540 0:47 Kickflip Indy to Fakie 0:50 Switch Frontside nosebone 0:53 Switch Kickflip indy THIS ONE 0:56 Darkside to Forward(Kickflip indy where you grab the board upside down.) 0:59 Boardslide to fakie 1:01 Fakie 540 1:04 Slob Gaytwist 1:06 Indy to Fakie 1:09 Switch Frontside Ollie 1:11 Switch Backside Ollie 1:14 Switch rock and roll 1:17 Fakie 5-0 revert 1:19 Blunt fakie 1:22 Halfcab front blunt 1:25 Boardslide to fakie 1:27 Gaytwist 1:30 Blunt kickflip out THIS IS THE BIG ONE, I THINK. Just think about the physics of what is happening here. Watch it frame by frame. It's insanity and doesn't look possible. 1:32 Switch rock and roll 1:35 Fakie frontside halfcab front rock So...21 years later. You'd think someone would have come close or topped this. Someone here knows skating real well. Is this still the greatest run ever?

Devils Affricate posted:Not gonna lie, it just looks like literally every other video I've ever seen of someone skateboarding on a half pipe. He's doing all the usual stuff that everyone else does but the commentators are losing their goddamned minds and it's kind of weird It's because a lot of the stuff he does, roughly 25% or more, had never been done in competition. And some of it is off the charts difficult. Whenever the people freak out, go back and rewatch a few times in slow motion and think about the physics of what is happening.
