I think a lot of people just struggle with the idea of others deriving natural pleasure from repetition and optimization and thus have to see this as some sort of industry wide mind control instead of something that has been around in video games from the very beginning. Making a number go higher than it was before is good, I shouldn't have to explain why this is awesome, it's a shame that many companies employ it to predatory extremes but that's not my problem!

What I mean is that Torque could literally be about Bronze Age chariots or someone's sick ethereum mining rig. The motorcycles are just the vessel through which the insanity of the movie is delivered.

All right, today I got the letting Lem & Mina board the Sidereal Horizon ending in Citizen Sleeper! I guess you can keep going after that, although it's usually hard for me to continue with a story after the credits roll. Neat little game, I can see why so many people like it.

VS is addicting but it's not the kind of game I can truly waste my entire life on unless it's got some 1/10,000 probability loot drops. Then I'd be in trouble.

Unlock more characters to get more items to find more stages to unlock more randomizers to do it all over except 500% faster.

The game successfully induces the same kind of enjoyment you got from detonating 25 remote mines in Goldeneye as your N64 seized from the sheer amount of awesomeness displayed onscreen.

It doesn't surprise me that TLOU is doing well since it's the kind of game that's custom made for serial TV. I'd be more interested to know how they made it feel non-derivative since without the video gamey elements it's kind of like "The Road but with Zombies"
