 Most people who keep track over Public Domain (or at least Public Domain's mist vocal ememies) know that this year marks the last gasp of legal ground to stand on, from the Arthur Conan Doyle Estate, as "The Case Book of Sherlock Holmes", ACD's last set of Sherlock Holmes stories, enters American Public domain this year, which means that the entirety of the great detectives adventures are now beyond the reach of copyright litigation.
