Love Al but he might just be better suited for calling horrible TNF matchups at this stage in his career.

If you’re loaded enough to have at least a mil and a half in your DraftKings account do you even care about $11k? This is some WallStreetBets type brain worms.

I haven't watched many Thursday games this year and when I have the audio hasn't really been on. Usually I think Al would play to Collingworth coming in with one of his "YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME" type phrases. Just all around awful pairing.

Yeah, my guess is it's somebody or some group that places bets like this on the regular as part of some system. I don't know how often you'd have to do it for your overall winnings to make up for even an occasional loss, but people have done dumber things I guess

See also someone betting a ton of money on Virginia in March madness only for them to turn around and lose to a 16 seed for the first time ever.

It's in the five-hole!

I’m curious, if they’d taken just $1000 and instead put it on the Jags to win at that exact same moment, how much money would they have walked away with?

It would’ve helped if they paired with someone who had actual energy and not Tony loving Dungy. Al’s old and not what he once was but Dungy is anti enthusiasm personified. I have no idea why they thought that was a good idea

The implied probability of -12500 odds is 99.21%. I’m sure someone looked at that and was like, hey, easy money, but this is exactly why the payoff is always terrible on these easy money bets.

If you have that kind of money to throw around, you absolutely should have hedged and bet some way lesser amount on the Jags. But who knows, maybe he did and the 1.4mil or whatever loss makes a better headline.

It felt like half of Dungy's commentary was complaining about contact down the field and the lack of penalties

The only time I have bet on sports was on an 8 team parlay the first weekend of the NCAA tournament. It hit, and the two thoughts that crosses my mind after were: I'm never going to get better than that; and also secretly, I could have made an absolute killing if I bet $100 instead of just $20.

Given circumstances, tonight's Ravens game isn't about winning or losing. It's about emptying the entire playbook at the Bengals feet. Direct snaps to the RB, 4 TE looks, two QB plays, everything. If Daniel Falalele gets 3+ touches, they've won.

That appears to be based off a $30m roster bonus in 2024 that triggers only if he plays in 4 games this upcoming season for them.

They'll cut him post June 1st and "only" have like I think a combined $40m? dead cap split over the next two seasons.

He's been MIA for 3 years now, that ship has sailed.

Like since putting up 149 / 1725 / 9 in 2019 he's put up:

40 / 438 / 0 in half a season
DNP 2021
16 / 171 / 3 this season.

I don't know if anyone's needed a change of scenery more then him.
