Jesus. That's awful. This one hits home harder at least partially just because Jay is just a few months older than me. I've not had to really comfront many deaths from my age group Really need time to process this one, but all I can think to say is The Briscoes have been a huge part of my wrestling fandom from when I started watching US indies, or just reading about them being too young to wrestle in Philly so they turned up to a CZW Philly show as the Midnight Outlawz, Kenny & Keno Murdoch. Devastated for his family.

it's something beyond bittersweet to see his peers talk so lovingly not just about his talent, but about the kind of person he was beyond what we got to see as fans, and then realize that the loss was even greater and more devastating than i initially thought. this same thing happened when Brodie passed. it has not gotten any easier to process now. it hurts really badly but i can't also help but think about aspiring to be the kind of person who would be remembered as fondly as both of them were.

I'm just so sad. Those poor kids. That poor family. Jay and Mark were such a unique team who succeeded in every way that matters in wrestling. There'll never be anyone like them again. RIP.

Jay's wife made a post on Facebook saying that their daughter Gracie (the one from the cheerleading video) suffered back injuries and was in surgery to save the use of her legs. Their other daughter was seriously injured but will recover.

Horrible news. The only silver lining I can think of is that he had an incredible 2022, and a lot of the wrestling world was exposed to him who wouldn't have seen him otherwise had ROH simply gone under.
