I don't see a problem with this. The Bucs were largely irrelevant for almost 20 years and you had a brief championship window because of Brady. Load up, put players on layaway. Whatever you have to do to get the ring.

I think this is probably where I'm at. I've never even seen a Super Bowl appearance (0/4 in AFCCG) in my life so I'd be willing to go through literally what I've always gone through for a Super Bowl win.

After that I think I'd want consistent competence.

 lmao at thinking playoffs every couple years for 5 years is the dark period.

Jets haven't made the playoffs in 12 years or hosted a playoff game in 20.
Dolphins and Raiders haven't won a playoff game in 20/21 years.
Lions haven't won a playoff game in 31 years.

It can always get bleaker and more desperate.
