The Kazzam matches always have the sports-related tactical objectives mixed into the combat; even more so than Strike!, it could be a game unto itself. On the other hand, your Kazzam opponents are usually your classmates, potentially your friends and biggest rivals, so the connection to the non-combat play is strong too.
