The podcast 81 All Out just had a very good episode on T20 bowling in the wake of these recent scores. Someone here recommended it to me years ago. https://podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/whats-the-deal-with-t20-bowling/id1453728955?i=1000651740625 Worth listening in its entirety but one thing they brought up is that even with these 200 strike rates there is still a lot of space for scores to go even higher. Maybe not at the International level where the boundaries can be longer and the pitches more competitive, but at least in franchise it looks like the days of 50(35) are over. Interesting recommendation, thanks - also found it interesting the idea of teams trying to unearth unconventional bowlers from obscurity get them into games for a season, Malinga type was their example. They would be cheap contracts, would perform adequately as batters would take a while to figure them out, then once the novelty has worn off they would probably drop in effectiveness, but that’s ok - get rid of them and bringing in someone else with a quirk. I could see it being effective, but it’s a pretty dire forecast for the future of bowling. “Oh sorry, your clearly better than that guy, but he bowls off the wrong foot and hides the ball in his beard while running up so we’re going with him for 5 games then we’re going to bring in the guy who’s 3 foot 8 who bowls weird grubbers for finals.

Sunrisers is the team I been cheering for so I've seen most their games and bowling is average to below avg. So hopefully Cummins can get few early wickets, he has been great.
