I am the sexiest poster in the world!
After seeing the crazy amount of effects for that Mario Kart pre-tape, the editors/post-production folks pushing for a better contract makes a lot of sense to me.

Coma sketch is definitely the sketch of the night for me. I was expecting the obvious "Guy wakes up from coma and is shocked at the state of the world" coma thing, and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't the obvious thing there.

That last sketch was getting close to Debbie Downer at Disney in terms of character breaking.

So my friend actually works on the VFX at SNL and he just made a post about working on the Mario Kart sketch! It was all done this week! He started Tuesday night and was editing and finishing stuff up until literal minutes before the sketch aired! Of course, it was the whole VFX team coming together to get that thing done in less than a weeks time!

No, first Debbie Downer immediately comes to mind. And cowbell

Also apparently nobody broke during Tough Meat at dress and the sketch died, so they made the table move a lot more during the live show? I can't find any primary source for this so whatever. At any rate I was on the edge of my seat over that pitcher of sangria, so job "well-done" so to speak

I haven't watched much SNL in years, but decided to check out the clips earlier on Youtube and I just have to say Pedro looking like he was having the time of his life and enjoying every second was delightful, really made it fun to watch.

Everyone just breaking hard during the Lisa From Temecula sketch was pretty great

and wow yeah the production values on the Mario Kart sketch. also seemed like some jabs at Chris Pratt's Mario

I think they do ~strategically break~ but this one felt genuine…I think the table shaking like that was a shock.

I don't know much about SNL dress skits, but would they run a skit like that with full glasses of liquid during dress? Without the poo poo spilling everywhere it might have been a pretty lovely sketch.
