Before they reveal the model UN stuff, I really thought the episode was going to be Charlie figuring them out but letting them get away with it!

Also, that agent is TOTALLY coming back. Not only did they cast an actor who loves to come out on tv shows and doesn't mind repeat appearances, but they did the whole, wink nudge, "Call me if you need anything," drivel. He'll be back.

I wonder if the FBI agent will come back, but to arrest her, because someone becomes suspicious that she seemingly leaves a trail of corpses everywhere she goes. I don't really expect that, but it would be a funny twist plus a wink to the various "Jessica Fletcher is actually killing everyone" jokes.

Also, from his Wiki entry, lol at the fact that that actor was the third-highest paid TV actor in 2018. It really is crazy how popular Big Bang Theory got.

I'll be honest and say that I still immediately think of him as his worthless supervillain from Dr. Horrible's Singalong Blog. And I was never even a big Whedon fan.

Must be pretty awesome to make that sitcom money for so long and then just be able to drop into semi-anonymous roles doing whatever you want rather than being typecast like Leonard and Sheldon.

Definitely expected this. Bombing the Model UN is cartoonishly villainous but somehow they managed to sell it.

It was kind of annoying and distracting, honestly. There's a long history of media taking left-wing agitators against the status quo and hot-gluing insanely murderous acts or intent to them, mostly in the form of baby-killing, in order to make them Evil Hypocrites in a way that has nothing to do with the actual ideologies their villains are inspired by.

Black Panther did this with having Killmonger kill his girlfriend because otherwise he'd just be obviously right about everything.

I found the reveal funny (and was expecting something like that because the way the flower scene was filmed) but yeah I also did found it a bit eye rolley. I want the person who said their theory was Rian is a Marxist to give their take on that lmao.

I'm still on episode 2. Good show, but I have a question about something in this episode:

When Charlie hears over the radio that Damian, the victim, was bludgeoned to death instead of shot, she turns around and starts investigating. I think I missed something really obvious, because I'm unclear on why she thought Damian would have been shot.

Also, like every murder mystery show, the sheer number of murders this woman runs into is astounding! Don't hang out with her, or visit Cabot Cove, or go to Santa Barbara to visit Shawn and Gus. The murders are everywhere!
In episodes 3 and 4 the murders are actually the result of her friendship with the victim - showing George Okja and making him go vegan ("I only saw the first half, but it's really cute!") and convincing Ruby to let Gavin hang out with the band (leading to him revealing his hit "Benson" cover.) She really is dangerous!

I can understand the annoyance, but murderous hippies were such a trope in the '70s detective shows that inspired "Poker Face," so it works as a satirical homage.

The guy in episode two looks like a younger thinner Jack black and it’s freaking me out. Some of his facial expressions and the way he would roll his eyes when huffing and puffing are uncanny jables. Funny stuff
Yeah, he definitely reminded me of JB.

The last actor to remind me so much of him was Troy Gentile, who plays Barry on the Goldbergs - and then I found out that he played young Jack Black in both Tenacious D and Nacho Libre.
