 i think that was the literal only thing they kept from the ps2-era localization. everything else? redone. that? justifiably preserved in amber. the earthbound localization is sublime. at some point i'd like to check out tomato's book about it, but shipping halfway across the planet sucks rear end and there's no digital pdf version
