Apparently you haven't encountered a lot of Coach Beard types in your life. Usually the fun wacky goofy folks actually turn out to be secret or not so secret addicts or psychologically crippled in some way or both. This is one of the most true revelations in the entire course of this whole stupid show.

When Moms tell their kids that the bullies at school are actually secretly sad and live unpleasant lives, that's usually not true. But in Ted Lasso world, it's true 100% of the time. And every episode is about showing us how sad the bullies are, how much Mom was right.
