I see one of those mental health boxes in my Facebook / Instagram feed often and sometimes think about signing up.

They are from Mind and are £7.50 a month from what I can remember, and include sort of crafty things you can do and make stuff.

Alas, £7.50 is a lot of money, and I'm not convinced it is worth it.

Spoil your ballot!

Just because the Tories are poo poo and Labour is a different shade of poo poo, doesn't mean you have to hold your nose and vote for either.

(or search for anyone else who may or may not be just a different shade of shite)

I went to the hospital for an appointment on Friday and my consultant said the NHS was in chaos, and was mumbling something about having to do the nurses jobs too.

I mean, the waiting room was crowded, but everything seemed to be ticking along quite well.

Thus concludes my biannual interaction with the outside world.

There was a ghost at the place I used to work in the 00-10s, apparently, but I didn't see it.

It was a nice story for the old-timers to tell at break times.

Remember that Labour data leak(s) a while ago that the Law Firm was going after, and you could sign up to win millions of pounds?

I've had a few emails over the months updating me on things, but today I received what looks like the last one.

The Tangent October 2021 case has been closed because they have no chance of winning.

The Blackbaud February 2020 case apparently only affected 35 people, and I wasn't one of them, but you might still get a payout if you are one of the lucky 35!

I always get the impression that if the Chinese government tells a citizen that they are happy and everything is fine, then that's what the citizen (has to) believe(s).

And there's the whole 防火長城 thing that's hardly a subtle hint to the control the state of China has over its people.

But sure, everything is fine.

Went to small do this evening (about 17 people) and the whole evening was permeated with different individuals sloping off and having heavy duty coughing sessions (including me - though I was the only one who wore a mask except when eating).

It's not covid (well if it is, it's not being picked up on LFTs!). But all of those of us who were coughing have had it for weeks on end - with the odd week or so when it stops before starting up again. I had it so bad in December, the vicious coughing put my back out on xmas eve and it's still not right after over 3 months later.

I know a couple of folk on here have mentioned persistent coughing. I wonder what it is if it's not covid? Or is it a mild covid that LFTs don't pick up?

I am starting to get a little bit of a sore throat.

I only go to my friends in the mornings for a cup of coffee, that's the sum total of my 'going out' so I don't know where I've got it from.

No cough though.

I think I can remember having to sing hymns at primary / junior school (1984-1991), but don't recall that carrying on into secondary school.

We had prefects and a head girl and boy at secondary school once we got into Years 10 / 11, my best mate at the time was head boy.

There were end of year dances.

I do sometimes wonder if 27 years on, I haven't been invited to some reunions, but I don't know if that's a thing here.
