Let's face facts here, comrades: we have a mod issue. We've all seen them around, with their blue stars and their weird faces, but here's the question: have you ever seen a cspam mod attempt to riff on a premise the way a normal poster would, and not have it land with an awful, leaden thud? Does the star render them incapable of joking, or is it self-selecting? We may never know, but whether it's their fault or an unfortunate external malady, the end result is the same: they need to stop punishing us with attempts to joke around and join in. It doesn't work, it's never worked, and it's time we put a stop to it.

Look, for example, friends, at this. a perfectly serviceable thread. Most of the replies are only "cspam funny" but they're trying. And then, the mods. First, one makes an incomprehensible reference to a fellow mod. What's the joke? Is it something they discussed in their private discord? Is vyelkin known to be in a particularly bad state, in either the American sense, or just in terms of his personal hygiene? Who knows! But then, compounding the offense, a second mod arrives to make reference to a made up state that most people could not identify on a map if it was labelled, and to also say y'all twice in a single sentence in service of a burn so convoluted and badly-worded it feels like a cruel parody. And we allow this???
