Getting DJ Moore was so loving huge. Claypool as a #3 WR is not bad at all. Now the Bears just need to pick up some guys who can block and their offense might actually be decent. They should be able to outbid anyone on the FA market. I just have no idea if the pool of free agent OLs is any good.

Literally everyone the Bears pick up is an improvement over who they currently have, so all these signings sound great to me. DeMarcus Walker is getting a pretty lukewarm reception from Bears fans, but his 32 pressures and 8 sacks last year would've been #1 on the Bears' defense.

I'm way more satisfied with Claypool as a #3 instead of being #2 last year. Everyone knew the FA market and draft pool for wide receivers this off-season would be really weak, so the value of even halfway -decent WRs sky-rocketed. The only way the Bears were gonna get any help at that position was by overpaying, but they've got the draft capital and cap space, so I don't mind.

Madison seems cool, I’d like to visit some day. Shame I’ll have to drive through the Mississippi watershed part of Wisconsin to get there. Just loving boring.

Like most states, the big cities are cool and the rural areas suck. Whenever I go to Madison, I like to browse the market on Capitol Square on Sunday mornings and get me a big loaf of spicy cheese bread. Also some Blue Moon ice cream for nostalgia's sake.

Yeah Skoronski seems tailor-made to be a Chicago Bear: Went to Northwestern and has a Polish surname.

I don't think he's a bad pick, I am just hesitant to think he's the best pick for the Bears at 9.

I'm not ready to give up on Claypool yet, probably because he's only 24 and now he only has to be a WR3 in a system that he actually has an entire offseason to learn.

The last time the Bears won against the Packers in the first game was 2006. They won 26-0 and it also featured Devin Hesters first return TD in the NFL.

I remember watching this game at a bar in Somerville, MA, when I was in college. The bar was mostly Pats fans, but I vividly remember seeing a couple in Packers gear exiting early and it made me happy.

I liked the part where they were upset about River North gentrifying

Yeah the biggest thing is pretending like River North is some rough-and-tumble neighborhood and not a place where the average 1-bedroom apartment goes for $2,700 a month. But there was also a scene where two guys were arguing about the correct highway to take to get to the suburbs, as if they're from Los Angeles or something and have more than 2 highways to choose from. They were throwing out names like Edens, Kennedy, and Dan Ryan, not realizing that those are all the same road, just at different parts.
