Theilen is a weird one to me because you only save about 6 million in 2023 by cutting him so unless they're doing a post-june first designation on him to smooth it out I don't know that you can realistically even replace him with someone who's even at his current level (wherever you think that might be) with that money.

I'm not sure anyone would have predicted the Bears pick would be even close to #1 when they made the trade anyway, didn't they just lose out to finish the season after they made it? I feel like they were like 3-4 or something when it happened so getting a weapon for your young QB to see if you could make some magic happen seems fine to me and ending up in the 10-15 range otherwise would have probably been a more common prediction

I guess I feel like the Packers got the better end of the trade is all, so I don't think they were the ones that broke first. A second this year + a (probable) first next year is pretty good for a 39 year old QB

There's been tons of smoke around the Vikings trading up for a qb so I just want to get it over with so they can end up trading back for more draft capital when none of that happens.
