I could not live in a world where LAFC had a CCL trophy lol. Anyway, LAFC look an injury to Vela away from being a relatively ordinary team in the western conference. Bouanga is dangerous as poo poo but without Vela they don't have any kind of creativity in the attack, it's just try to get the ball to Bouanga over and over. I dunno if Vela was injured, had frazzled nerves, or just couldn't be assed but he turned in a stinker of a performance tonight, and in the first leg. The dick riding in MLS and American soccer media for LAFC leading into this tournament was insane. There was talk of them being the greatest club in MLS history, completely ignoring what the Sounders accomplished in the last ten years. I'm not even a Sounders fan but their run of nine or ten straight playoff appearances, appearing in multiple MLS Cups and winning two of them, and clinching a modern day CCL trophy before anyone else dwarfs anything LAFC has done in their 5 year existence. That would still be true to me even if LAFC had won tonight.
