I think you need a pretty strong and consistent internet connection. All of the building destruction and physics stuff is server-side/cloud based. I can't get on at all due to some dumb error from being in the closed beta. I just get shuffled back and forth between the settings and opening character select screen over and over. You can supposedly unlink your account and re-link to fix it, but then you lose all prior progress and items, as well as future Twitch capability. So basically gently caress that.
