I'll be somewhere in southern IL. Bought a solar filter force my big camera lens and have like a dozen different spots picked out to try. Visiting a friend in Springfield Sunday to cut the drive in half. Fingers crossed for decent weather.

Drove a cumulative ~14 hours from Chicagoland to rural IL to stare at the sun. Would recommend. Got some wild shots - was not expecting to be able to see solar flares.
