I loved this show as a kid and remember how horrified Erik is when he discovers this. Isn't it also shown that the Marshalls are trapped in something of a paradox? At one point they escape but in order to escape LotL they have to trigger the event that brings them there, creating a loop, that isn't exactly a loop?
