I think I also cried laughing at the alley vomiting scene in Team America. Vomiting is funny.

Leave me to do my dark bidding on the internet!
My partner laughed at me when I told her Tom Hanks losing the volleyball in Cast Away made me cry. Then we sat down and watched it - her for the first time - and she cried too. That was a slam dunk.

I always cry at the Muppet Christmas Carol when Scrooge and the ghost of Christmas yet to come visit Bob's house. Caine nailed the delivery on the "So quiet... Why is it so quiet, spirit?" line and it chokes me up.

When Melvin has secretly moved Simon's stuff into his apartment in As Good As It Gets. When Andy gives away the toys to Bonnie at the end of Toy Story 3 was the perfect ending to those films.

I'm pretty sure I cried at Everything Everywhere All At Once but when and where is kind of a blur. Need a rewatch. I cry a lot at films I guess, maybe age has made me more sensitive and vulnerable.

For me it's the end of the Last of the Mohicans, which is absolutely due to the music choice.
Pretty much everything starting with Duncan offering himself in place of Cora and "tricking" Hawkeye, the music picking up, the mercy kill, then the chase up the mountain... it's just amazing and I get chills every time.

Edit:
pretty much this entire clip, except it skips the part where Duncan (Red head guy) sacrifices himself (and not translating what Hawkeye tells him) instead of Cora and Hawkeye not realizing it.

Dark Crystal
Secret of Nihm
Legend
Neverending Story
The Last Unicorn? (don't remember it much)
Brave Little Toaster
Land Before Time? (I think there was some scary poo poo in there)

So many 80s and 90s cartoons that were dark as poo poo too. X-Men, Captain Power, sooooo many others.

Star Trek: The Motion Picture is a boring movie
I'm getting old. I never cried at movies but the past few years it has happened. I caught ET late last year when it was re-released in IMAX. I had not seen it in 20 years. Man, stuff in the last 20 minutes got me. When ET is dying and losing his connection to Elliot and they're both screaming and freaking the gently caress out. Then at the very end when they say goodbye and ET says "I'll be right here" "as he points at Elliot's heart. drat you Spielberg tugging on those heart strings.

Pennywise the Frown posted:

I tear up in movies all the time. I'm a very internally emotional person.

Weird things do it a lot though. Mostly huge battle scenes. Like Two Towers when the Rohirrim arrive at the end, the Klendathu drop in Starship Troopers. It's really strange. But I get goosebumps and super emotional and I can tear up by the absolute insanity and courage of those fights.

Essentially this. But especially the part around 3:20 when Gandalf says "Theoden King stands alone." And then Eomer comes up behind and says "Not alone..... ROHIRRIM!!!!!!"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-z0acXSJ0o

quick edit: also sad movies make me sad and I'll easily cry. I'm a super emotional bitch.

It ain’t just you, tears are running down my face after watching this clip. I haven’t seen LOTR since seeing them in the theater when the movies came out.
