Of course you can do a lot of damage with data collection capabilities of social media, and we desperately need (and won't get in our bought-and-paid for congress) a digital bill of rights so that our data belongs to us. Banning Tik Tok is selective outrage when they all collect data. It tells me a lot that we can't even get the official story straight on why we need to censor a platform (however stupid it might be) - foreign policy? American social media market share?
