This is the feedback thread for C-SPAM. You can use this to express concerns or provide any kind of feedback (positive, neutral, negative) about moderation, specific threads, general posting, or ideas to improve the forum. Please remember that this is a feedback thread for C-SPAM, so if you have feedback about another forum, contact that forum's mod team or post it in SAD. You're also welcome to PM any of the mods if you don't want your comments made public. Depending on your preferences, we can have a private discussion, share your thoughts within the mod team, or repost PMs as anonymous feedback in the thread. Recent mod changes: Majorian and Azathoth have both stepped down in the past few months. We are currently looking for new C-SPAM mods, and we would like to open the floor for volunteers or suggestions of posters who might make good moderators for this forum. Finally, we are trying something new and currently plan to leave this thread open as an ongoing feedback thread, so there's no rush to get your comments or questions in immediately. We hope that having a regular place to talk about the state of the forum will be healthy and helpful in the long run.

the only real weird thing mods do is gas threads when ppl necro them. i dunno why anybody even cares. ppl might have to hit page 2? wowee. time to make every thread a sticky again

Yeah idk about other mods but I’m not interested in gassing a necro’d thread just because it’s an old thread. I could definitely see a mod making that call if it was a thread that should have been gassed to begin with but had slipped into obscurity before it got caught or like some specific situation where in context it made sense to gas the thread but I’m not trying to protect other posters from page 2.

Same here, the only time I can remember gassing a necro'd thread was one that should have been gassed in the first place. A bumped thread will either die again on its own like the first time, or people get something new to talk about, it doesn't do any harm.

I think C-SPAM is generally fine. At least the threads I pay attention to, which are the video game, pop culture, U/R, and succ thread. The Holodomor thread could probably be locked at this point tho, its a joke that's run its course and is just going to be used by weirdos to claim we're a bunch of genocide deniers.
