Can't say I've really heard anything about Cayenne/Tourareg failing spectacularly or at all really. They seem to be a car that's surprisingly great at everything it was never originally marketed/sold for and everyone's finding out since they're all worth less than $10k these days. It's definitely on my list of "car to buy when I get back to the states".
