They did announce a demo that is the first part of the game with transferrable save data. No clue on when it's dropping, but maybe it will be during the big LA event a few weeks before release.

Apparently the frame rate difference was due to Max playing an older build. The version they showed at PAX was 60fps when they were going through the large desert area. It does sound like a very Square thing to have people playing the game in different states, but maybe it was easier to prevent them from seeing things too early that way.

The player for IGN Japan is way better than the tester for the US site. They string combos together more frequently, actually use lock on, and use special attacks a lot whereas the latter's attacks are sloppier and not as purposeful. They still could've killed the S rank with limit break instead of dying though lmao.

Asides from the harder difficulties, you can replay stages and boss fights in arcade mode to compete on global leaderboards. Being able to bring your current loadout into an earlier fight is still fun if you don't care about the score.

Devil May Cry-Final Fantasy-Game of Thrones-Evangelion is basically the most perfect combination I could dream of, what a great time to be a weeb and alive.

I got a copy of the game yesterday and im about 6 hours past the demo area.

Things i like so far:
1.) The story is great, i feel thus far Yoshi P and his crew are doing a great job
2.) The battle system is fun. I was able to pick up a lot of key tricks to dodging, magic combos and phase attacks
3.) The Visuals are fantastic too, im playing on graphics mode and i barely notice anything like FPS drops
4.) I'm a stickler for main menus and this game does it very well

Things i dont like so far:
1.) No mini map. Would it kill them to put a mini map in?
2.) Target changes after kills in battle. Makes the camera kind of jumpy but it quickly corrects itself

So far i'm believing the hype of this game, its great

Someone cast haste on the planet so I can play this loving game.

I gave into temptation and watched a leak stream continuing right after the demo cutoff. The videos have since been nuked, but now the wait is even worse than before. XVI continues to be cool as hell and next Thursday can't come soon enough.
