I can't find the actual statement from the Orange County DA's office, but the stuff quoted doesn't jibe with all the headlines claiming Roiland was "cleared."quote:“We dismissed the charges today because there was insufficient evidence to prove the case beyond reasonable doubt,” Kimberly Edds, a spokesperson for the district attorney’s office, said in a statement. I mean, that doesn't sound like "cleared" to me.

Apparently even Harmon couldn't stand Roiland after working for more than a season of Rick and Morty with him, according to an expose in Vulture or something. Valid point, and not this this dismisses it, but Dan Harmon did own up to this to such an extent that his victim actually accepted his apology. Wasn't there an article after the allegation against Roiland came out that said he essentially hadn't contributed creatively to R&M or most other projects in years? With R&M it sounded like he stopped showing sometime in season 2 becuase the newer writers didn't want to just write "OMG SO RANDOM" jokes constantly. And he'd just show up with porn stars and try to be as disruptive as possible. Sounds like he's basically been recording his lines from home since then. Basically it sounded like the dude has a major alcohol problem and acts like a loving creep when he's drunk, which is constantly. If that's the case I'm sure no one was sad to see him go and I don't see him being welcomed back, but who knows, more hosed up things have happened in the name of money.

Rick and Morty is an OK show. The last couple of seasons were pretty bleh. The people who take the show too seriously make it remarkably uncool and the series should've probably ended after season 3 or 4.

Like, there were suspicions, and we knew the guy's brain was kinda sus...... but we didn't have all the text message screenshots and poo poo to back it up until now.
