My folks live on a farm and rescue cats. There's 8 of them, so I'll just feature the last addition, Wolfgang, for now: First day Wolfie. Weighs 15 oz at 8 weeks, eye infection, has just stopped eating and peeing.  First evening Wolfie. Drinking kitten formula now, had his first bath and has been claimed by our (fat) dog, Aggie. Sorry she's fat, we're trying.  Gaining weight, eye improving. Got his collar.  Making friends.  Enjoying the sun.  Clear eyes.  Gettin' mutton chops.  Fluffier.  Forever with dog mom.

This is my cat Norton. The shelter named him and I kept it. His kitty hammock touches the ground now. He's overweight but even ignoring that he's a big, solid cat who is a two-hander to pick up. Very good natured; just vocally complains while I do that. Never scratched or bitten me (on purpose at least, even during play he's usually very careful about his claws).

 There’s are my goobers: Toby and Chai  Lazy little Chai is 14? Maybe? We got her from a rescue a few years ago and no one knew how old she was. Only a few teeth left but ferocious.  Fat boy Toby is 12 and has gone deaf. Had him since he was 6 months old and he’s my best friend. If you let him lick your face you will have to physically stop him or he’ll go forever.

This is one of our residents grandpas, Ezra Peeps. He turns 17 soon and can still jump on counters and enjoy brown paper.  The kittens revere him and his heated blanket. He's lost both his sisters now, so Butters has taken on the role. Here she is being Big Sis Butts.  Neither of them really meow. Peeps goes "muu" and Butters just grunts.  He is a very fine boy.

This is barney and that's my dad. He was a few months old when my sisters got him as a birthday gift for my dad. He HATES me and I've never been able to find out why. He literally shivers when he sees me. He runs round in circles and little nuggets of poop fall out of him. He wouldn't even come through the back door of the house if he could smell my boots. I've moved out but everytime I visit he goes into hysterics again. My dad thinks it's because someone in his past, who must look or smell like me, did something horrible to him. It's strange because normally I get along great with dogs, like the ones my friends own.

Also my li’l Ellie. I was never a small dog kinda guy but we rescued this old lass right before she was about to be euthanized and I’ve never made a better decision. She’s the sweetest dog ever. She was used as a breeder, abused, lived on the street, is blind in one eye, half deaf, missing most of her teeth, beat cancer twice and is old as time itself but always has a waggy tail and kisses ready for anyone.

my long gone pets. no digital pics, pictures of printed pics. Shadow : Beagle / Spaniel mix   Buster & Rudy : Boxer mix, and a Maltese  Buster and Shadow were my two dogs, Rudy, the Maltese was my sister's. The little bastard chewed up some of my favorite books and I always had a grudge. But, Buster and Shadow were good dogs. Buster became a big ol' dumb brute of a dog, and Shadow was smart and quick. Shadow got hit by a car  Buster supposedly bit a kid that was messing with him, and got put down Kid probably deserved it. Both of them passed while I was in bootcamp in 2003. I never got to say goodbye. I'm not the religious type, but I hope I get to be with them again, someday. Wow. it's been 20 years. I haven't owned a pet, since. Sorry for being a downer, and all y'all's pets are beautiful creeatures.
