I liked the part where they told us how good it was we watching a movie in the theaters at the beginning.

Did anyone else get that in their showing?

I did and it was ... odd and kind of cringe, and set me up to think the movie would be odd and kind of cringe, when in fact it was tremendous fun. Loved it, some excellent gags, great chemistry among the cast, and a few excellent action set pieces to round it out. All around a perfect popcorn flick.

Oh no yeah, I totally agree. The movie itself was really fun and I enjoyed it, but that bit before the movie started wasn’t a great first impression.

Saw it tonight, loved it. Hugh Grant steals every scene he's in, and the world is charmingly colorful and fanciful instead of the cliche dirty and drab medieval.

Fun adventure overall that managed to competently blend humor and action, especially the obese dragon scene.

The fat dragon was hysterical. It got a lot of huge laughs out of my theater, especially when it slid on it's belly down the pile of skulls at the heroes. It's just such a funny visual.

Agree on Hugh Grant, he was having a great time and it showed.
